Kinomap has introduced a new Outdoor Activities feature that allows users to track and log real-world workouts such as running, walking, and cycling using GPS on their smartphones. This update is now available on both iOS and Android devices.
Users can record their outdoor sessions, which are then saved in their Kinomap activity history. This new feature complements Kinomap’s existing indoor video-based training platform, aiming to provide a hybrid fitness experience that combines indoor and outdoor exercise.
Philippe Moity, CEO and co-founder of Kinomap, explained that the company is expanding its approach to fitness by including outdoor activities. He said that whether users are cycling through the countryside or jogging in their neighborhood, they can now log these workouts directly within the Kinomap app.
The update offers several features such as GPS tracking, performance metrics including pace and elevation, route mapping, badges, and activity-based challenges. It is available to both free and premium users.
Kinomap, based in France, is known for its interactive fitness platform that provides thousands of geolocated video routes for indoor training. These routes cover various terrains from locations around the world.
