Rebel Wilson Shares Diet Tips During Six Week Weight Loss Journey

by Daisy

Rebel Wilson, 45, took to Instagram on May 27 to update her followers on her ongoing “health challenge,” now in its sixth week. Since starting the challenge after Easter, Wilson has lost over two pounds by cutting chocolate and ice cream from her diet, according to The Daily Mail.

She encouraged her fans to replace unhealthy habits with healthier ones. “You delete some things from your life that are unhealthy and pick up some healthy habits,” Wilson advised.

The actress acknowledged that adopting multiple healthy habits can be a struggle. To stay motivated, she uses a checklist on a post-it note. “But I tell you what, if you can get into a really good groove with all these healthy habits, it can be really great for your physical and mental health, and that’s really important,” she added.

Wilson also motivated her followers by urging them to be the best, healthiest versions of themselves. She invited fans to share their progress with her via direct message. “Congrats to everyone that’s been on the challenge. Let’s go hard week six. Let’s do it,” she said.

This challenge comes after Wilson’s significant 77-pound weight loss in 2020. In April 2024, she told Today’s Hoda Kotb that she was working out “like a maniac” to reach her goals. She credited the pandemic shutdown with helping her focus on her fitness since she didn’t have to work during that time.

Wilson also spoke openly about using the weight-loss drug Ozempic for a short period but said she has since stopped taking it, sharing this with The Sunday Times in 2024. She further told Us Weekly that there is “no magic fix” for weight loss.

“I’d been on diets and I’ve been really good about exercising pretty much my entire life,” Wilson said. “For me, it was the emotional element that I’d never looked at. I’d kind of been, like, ‘Emotions … Ugh, I don’t want to talk about things.’”

She concluded with advice to her followers: “It’s good to value yourself and be healthy, but you don’t have to be obsessive.”
