Weight loss expert Fran Bell has launched a new series of downloadable 7-day meal plans based on The Britalian Diet, a weight loss method inspired by Italian eating habits. This approach offers a refreshing mix of structure, satisfaction, and enjoyment, differing from typical restrictive diets.
Fran’s journey began after years of struggling with diets that required strict rules and constant deprivation. Curious about the Italian lifestyle, she explored their approach to food and daily routines. Within eight months of adopting these habits, Fran lost 88 pounds. She explains, “I fell in love with the Italian lifestyle – not just the food, but the rhythm of it. They eat proper meals, sit down, and enjoy food without guilt.”
Italy is known for being one of the healthiest and least obese developed countries. Its food culture contrasts sharply with the often restrictive UK dieting scene. Fran aimed to adapt those Italian principles into simple, practical meal plans for busy British lives. Her plans focus on real, minimally processed food, with no fads, and easy recipes anyone can follow.
The first plan, called the 7-Day Britalian Kickstart Plan, costs £3 and is available at thebritaliandiet.co.uk. It averages about 1,400 calories a day and encourages a daily routine of a light, sweet breakfast with a milky coffee or similar drink, a filling lunch, an Italian-style snack, and a two-course dinner. The plan even allows room for a glass of wine or dessert, as long as it fits into the daily calorie total. The focus is on consistency, pleasure, and planning, rather than punishment or strict willpower.
Users have responded positively, with many reporting weight loss, fewer cravings, and a healthier relationship with food. One said, “I can’t believe I’m losing weight without cutting everything out. This is the first plan I’ve stuck to because it doesn’t feel like a diet. It feels like how I want to live.”
More plans are planned for release, including versions that are vegetarian, gluten-free, budget-friendly, seasonal, and even a “dessert-a-day” edition. There will also be a Fast Britalian Kickstart Plan for people who want quicker results due to health reasons or upcoming events.
Fran says she wanted to create something “kind, accessible, and grounded in real life.” She adds, “So many women feel like they’re failing at dieting – but actually, it’s the diets that are failing them. This is about starting again, in a completely different way.”
This new 7-day plan series represents a fresh chapter for The Britalian Diet, putting joy, structure, and long-term sustainability back into healthy eating. The first plan is available now, with more editions set to launch throughout the year.
