U.S. singer Meghan Trainor has stirred mixed reactions among fans after she changed the lyrics to her popular 2014 hit “All About That Bass” during a recent live performance.
Trainor, who has been open about her weight loss journey and regularly shares updates with fans on social media, is facing backlash after altering a key line of the song. During her performance at the Wango Tango concert in California, she replaced the original lyrics, “It’s pretty clear, I ain’t no size two,” with “It’s pretty clear, I got some new boobs.”
The change comes after Trainor underwent breast augmentation surgery earlier this year, along with losing weight—a transformation she has spoken about publicly.
A clip of the performance quickly went viral, with fans reacting strongly online. One user commented, “She went from all about that bass to all about that fake.” Another wrote, “Now that song doesn’t even make sense for her anymore lmao,” while a third simply added, “Oh wow. Well, this is interesting.”
Trainor has not publicly responded to the online criticism.
“All About That Bass,” originally celebrated for promoting body positivity and rejecting unrealistic beauty standards, became a chart-topping anthem when it was released over a decade ago.
