Cheryl Burke, former “Dancing with the Stars” pro, has lost more than 30 pounds through intermittent fasting, clean eating, and daily two-mile walks with her dog. In a recent interview with People magazine, she emphasized the importance of staying active, saying, “I just like to continue to move my body and be active.”
Burke addressed rumors that she used the weight loss drug Ozempic, firmly denying them on TikTok. Removing her makeup on camera, she said, “I’m not on Ozempic. I’m not sick. I didn’t get a face transplant, and no, I didn’t get a brow-lift.” She called the speculation “wild” and shared how hurtful some comments have been, especially compared to previous criticism she faced when she gained weight.
Burke also opened up about her long struggle with body image as a dancer, recalling the pressure to maintain a certain weight. “We were stuck in front of mirrors constantly,” she said. She described how strict coaches and constant weight criticism affected her mood and even led her to travel with a scale. “It was just not healthy,” she said.
Now in her 40s, Burke is focused on a healthier approach, prioritizing well-being over appearance. “My goal wasn’t to lose a certain amount of weight,” she said. She noted changes in her metabolism and body, saying she has to be more mindful of staying active to avoid issues like foot cramps.
