At 62, Tom Cruise shows no signs of slowing down — either in Hollywood or in the gym. Despite the upcoming “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning” being billed as Ethan Hunt’s last mission, Cruise insists his action days are far from over.
“It’s the final! It’s not called ‘final’ for nothing,” Cruise told The Hollywood Reporter. Yet, he made it clear he isn’t retiring anytime soon. “I said I would make movies into my 80s — actually, I’m going to make them into my 100s. I will never stop. I’ll never stop doing action, drama, comedy — I’m excited!”
Cruise, long known for doing his own stunts, credits his longevity to a consistent and varied fitness routine. His regimen includes three days of weight training and several cardio sessions each week. To keep things exciting and functional, he incorporates outdoor and adventure sports like hiking, rock climbing, and fencing.
Inspired by stars like 80-year-old Harrison Ford, Cruise says staying physically and mentally sharp is key to continuing the kind of high-energy performances fans expect. With his passion still burning and a disciplined approach to health, Cruise is pushing the limits of age — and redefining what’s possible in action cinema.
