Sarfaraz Khan, the talented Indian batter, has lost 10 kg as he prepares for the upcoming England tour. The 27-year-old, from Mumbai, is following a strict diet and intense training to improve his fitness for the demanding English conditions.
Sarfaraz made his Test debut in 2024 against England and aims to secure a regular spot, especially with senior players like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli stepping back. To get ready, he follows a simple diet mainly of boiled vegetables and chicken, focusing on staying fit for the swing-friendly pitches in England.
He practices twice daily, working on key skills like his discipline outside off-stump to handle England’s bowling. Sarfaraz is fully committed to his goal and leaving no room for mistakes.
So far, Sarfaraz has played six Tests, scoring 371 runs at an average of 37.10. He has one century and three fifties, including a notable 150 against New Zealand in Bengaluru. Although he didn’t play in the recent series against Australia, his determination to grow as a player remains strong as he prepares for the India A series versus England Lions.
