Copenhagen-based fitness concept Nordic Strong is preparing to make its US debut this summer with the launch of a pop-up studio in the village of Sag Harbor, New York. This temporary location will serve as a preview before the brand opens its permanent studio in Manhattan’s Flatiron District in the autumn. The move marks an exciting expansion for the Nordic-inspired workout system, bringing its unique approach to a broader audience.
Founded in Denmark in 2022, Nordic Strong has quickly gained popularity for its innovative fitness method rooted in Nordic principles of movement, simplicity, and functional training. At the heart of the program is a patented machine designed to mimic the motions of cross-country skiing. This machine combines low-impact cardiovascular exercise with strength and mobility training, offering more than 50 different workout combinations. This variety allows users to customize sessions based on their fitness goals and levels, making it suitable for a wide range of people.
Nicoline Roth, the founder and a native of Copenhagen, explained that Nordic Strong is about more than just physical fitness. “Our goal is to create a space where people can reconnect with their bodies, build resilience, and move with purpose,” she said. The workouts emphasize holistic health, encouraging participants to develop strength, flexibility, and endurance while reducing the risk of injury through mindful movement.
The upcoming US launch reflects growing interest in Nordic wellness trends and functional fitness that blend effective exercise with a mindful approach to body movement. By opening in Sag Harbor, a community known for its active lifestyle, and later in Manhattan, Nordic Strong aims to attract urban fitness enthusiasts looking for innovative ways to stay healthy and fit.
With this expansion, Nordic Strong hopes to inspire more people across the US to embrace a balanced fitness routine that focuses on strength, mobility, and cardiovascular health through simple, purposeful movement inspired by nature and Nordic culture.
