“I just have to do it. No matter how tired or stressed I feel, I always feel better afterward,” he explained. “It’s not about an hour in the gym. Can you take 20 minutes while the baby naps or put on a cartoon for the kids and get those 20 minutes for yourself? It’s doable.”

Wicks’ approach serves as a reminder to parents that even short, home-based workouts can have a positive impact on mental and physical health.
