Benson Boone, known as the “stunt king,” recently captivated a crowd of fans in New York City with an unexpected and thrilling backflip off the hood of a vintage firetruck-red sports car. The stunt took place on Canal Street, where the musician, ahead of his performance at the Governor’s Ball and Lollapalooza this summer, drew in a large group of admirers eager to see his signature move.
Boone, who was recently named an ambassador for JBL and has partnered with the brand for their summer campaign, has made headlines not only for his daring stunts but also for his laid-back approach to fitness and diet. In a candid interview with *Interview* magazine, he revealed that despite performing physically demanding stunts, he hasn’t worked out in months. “This is all natural,” he said, adding that his toned physique doesn’t come from intense workouts. Boone’s diet is equally relaxed; he confessed that he enjoys eating “absolutely whatever I want,” with his breakfast typically consisting of “three bowls of Fruity Pebbles.” His favorite candy is “Blue Raspberry Sour Patch Kids.”
When it comes to his beauty routine, Boone keeps things simple. “I just wash my face with a wet towel and I do my hair with Cantu curling cream,” he explained.
Boone also shared insights into the inspiration behind his latest album, which was shaped by a pivotal experience in his youth. He recalled a car accident he had with his best friend when he was around 15 or 16. “We were driving in his backyard, and we flipped the car,” Boone said. In that moment, he thought, “I don’t wanna die right now, a young American.” While he clarified that his album isn’t meant to be “patriotic,” he emphasized that it reflects his journey and aspirations. “It’s me as Benson Boone, the little kid that grew up with a dream to continue to do things with the people that I love,” he said. “That kind of sets the tone for the album.”
