The Health & Fitness Association (HFA) has formed new strategic partnerships with the Turkish Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (TVGFBF) and North Macedonia Active (NMA). These agreements aim to strengthen regional collaboration and provide better access to global fitness events for club owners, operators, and trainers in both countries.
As part of the deal, both federations will receive discounted entry to HFA’s international events, including the upcoming European Congress scheduled for October.
Koray Girgin, president of TVGFBF, said the partnership would boost Turkey’s international presence in the fitness industry. “This agreement expands our federation’s vision and supports the growth of Turkey’s fitness sector,” he stated. “Partnering with a global organization like HFA will increase our visibility and impact worldwide.”
NMA, a newly established federation representing health clubs and studios in North Macedonia, also welcomed the collaboration. Founder Magdalena Spasovska described joining HFA as a milestone for the country’s fitness community. She added, “This partnership offers valuable opportunities for connection and transformation. Access to global research, education, and innovation will empower our trainers and fitness leaders to raise standards and build a stronger, more active fitness culture in North Macedonia.”
Florian Cartoux, HFA’s EMEA director, emphasized the importance of regional cooperation in promoting fitness as a key element of public health. “We believe this collaboration will set a positive example for the region and encourage further partnerships,” he said. “Sharing best practices is vital in advancing fitness and exercise as essential preventive health care.”
