Heidi Montag is serious about her health, even if being a mom often leaves her feeling exhausted.
“I’ve come to the conclusion that, being a mom, I’m just gonna be exhausted,” the 38-year-old told The Post.
Despite her busy life, the reality star makes a consistent effort to eat well, stay active, and maintain healthy routines. Her approach to wellness has adapted over time, especially following the wildfires in Los Angeles, but her commitment remains strong.
Montag doesn’t follow any strict diet plans. Instead, she focuses on balance, making sure to include protein, healthy fats, vegetables, and fruits in her meals. Staples in her kitchen include hard-boiled eggs, avocados, and bananas.
“Having kids around makes it really challenging,” she said. “I’ll always sneak a bite of cake or mac and cheese. Kids’ food is just so good.”
Gut health is also important to her. To support digestion, Montag includes probiotics in her diet, such as yogurt and fermented pickles.
“I noticed that my body functions better with it. So I have yogurt every single day,” she shared.
As a mother of two — Gunner, 7, and Ryker, 2½ — Montag sometimes cooks separate meals for herself and her kids. However, she and Gunner do share a favorite: meat and rice.
“He loves that, so I eat that with him,” she said. “I just have less rice.”
Montag admits that meals in her household are often rushed.
“They all eat in five seconds and are running around screaming,” she said. “So I just eat whatever’s fast and easy. I don’t want to spend too much time or clean anything else.”
Even amid the chaos of parenting, Montag stays focused on her health — keeping things simple, flexible, and realistic.
