Yoga instructor Anshuka Parwani, who trains Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor, recently shared insights into the star’s fitness routine, revealing that weight loss is not one of Kareena’s primary goals. Anshuka emphasized that Kareena is highly attuned to her body and actively participates in designing her workout regimen.
In an interview with ETimes, Anshuka explained, “Kareena is incredibly aware of her body. She’s been with me since the beginning — not just as an actress but as my first-ever student. There’s so much to learn from her. She has always loved yoga and has a deep understanding of her body, so we know when to push harder, modify the routine, or focus on variations or breath work.”
Discussing Kareena’s current fitness routine, Anshuka mentioned, “Right now, we’re maintaining a balanced approach. She’s glowing, both inside and out. Sometimes, her cheeks seem to glow like there’s a light behind them. Her routine combines animal flows, strength-based yoga, and cardiovascular exercises.”
Anshuka also revealed that Kareena’s focus is not on weight loss. “She’s never expressed a desire to lose weight. If anything, she might mention wanting to reduce her waist size, but that’s about it,” Anshuka noted.
Regarding Kareena’s favorite and least favorite exercises, Anshuka shared, “Kareena isn’t a fan of balancing poses; she finds vrikshasana a bit boring. However, her favorite exercise is Surya Namaskar. She loves doing backbends and practicing yoga as part of her lifestyle.”
