Khloé Kardashian is speaking candidly about her evolving relationship with fitness, body image, and public perception.
On the June 18 episode of her Khloé in Wonderland podcast, Kardashian and guest influencer Whitney Simmons discussed their health and wellness journeys, touching on how public scrutiny impacted their confidence. Kardashian revealed that after she lost weight, some critics accused her of turning her back on the body-positive community.
“They said I wasn’t myself anymore, that I wasn’t funny or real,” she shared. “But I’m still the same person inside—I just look a little different.”
The Kardashians star admitted that she once tried to please everyone, but eventually realized that was impossible. “I’m never going to make everyone happy,” she said. “But am I happy? Okay, cool.”
Reflecting on her early years in the spotlight, Kardashian said she didn’t view herself as overweight until others labeled her that way. “I never thought I was fat until I got on TV and everyone told me I was,” she said. “Looking back, I wasn’t as big as I convinced myself I was. But it was a different time. People were extremely thin back then.”
In an interview with PEOPLE earlier this year, Kardashian said her current health goals are focused on strength, not just appearance. “I’m working on increasing my protein intake and building muscle,” she said. “It’s about being strong and healthy—not just skinny.”
Her approach to nutrition led her to create Khloud Protein Popcorn, a snack she designed to meet her own health needs. “I wanted something that tasted good, had clean ingredients, and helped me meet my protein goals,” she explained. “Most protein snacks I found were full of fillers or didn’t taste great.”
Kardashian said the inspiration behind the product also came from being a mom to two young children, daughter True, 7, and son Tatum, 2, whom she shares with former partner Tristan Thompson.
“As a parent, it’s hard to find healthy snacks that kids will actually enjoy,” she said. “I’ll always be a snacker. I just want to feel good about the things I’m eating.”
Through her brand and her podcast, Kardashian continues to share her personal journey with honesty, advocating for balance, self-acceptance, and health at every stage.
