Kareena Kapoor Reveals Her Daily Diet and Secret to Glowing Skin at 44

At a recent book launch for celebrity nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar, Bollywood icon Kareena Kapoor Khan opened up about the lifestyle habits that help her maintain her youthful appearance and fitness at 44. The actress emphasized the power of simple, traditional practices over cosmetic enhancements.

Kareena, known for her elegance and fitness, said her wellness routine centers around basic physical activity and consistency. “Strength training, walking a little, doing Surya Namaskars, and doing my little works on my own rather than skin treatment and botox,” she stated, underlining her preference for a natural approach to health and beauty.

When it comes to food, Kareena is a firm believer in the value of traditional, homemade meals. Despite experiencing a wide range of international cuisines, she said that Indian comfort food remains central to her diet. “My comfort food is khichdi, and if I don’t have it for 2-3 days, I start craving it,” she said. “I message her (Diwekar) if there isn’t khichdi in the diet—I can’t sleep at night.”

Kareena also spoke about her time following a vegetarian diet while working with Diwekar. She noted significant improvements in both her physical health and skin condition. “She (Rujuta) is pro-vegetarian, and when we work together, I am pure vegetarian. My body and face transformed during that time,” she explained.

Reflecting on her long-standing approach to food, Kareena said she finds joy in simplicity. “My relationship with food is easy and simple in the last 10-15 years. I just go back to the same food, and I am happy with it,” she said. “I don’t want to experiment with it—it is comforting and makes me feel happy.”

Kareena’s insights highlight her commitment to balance, consistency, and embracing time-tested traditions in both diet and fitness.
