Customs officers at the Tudora border checkpoint have intercepted a passenger attempting to bring undeclared medical products into Moldova. The individual was traveling by bus from Odessa, Ukraine, to Chisinau.
According to customs officials, a detailed inspection of the luggage using a mobile X-ray scanner revealed suspicious contents. A closer examination of one suitcase led to the discovery of injectable drugs, medical instruments, and various consumables hidden among personal items.
The suitcase was found to belong to a 51-year-old foreign national. Authorities have seized the undeclared items. The goods may be subject to confiscation pending a court decision, and the passenger could face penalties for committing a customs offense.
