TV personality Choi Eun-Kyung recently posted a new video on her YouTube channel, Choi Eun-Kyung’s Management Office, titled “How to Lose 3kg for 30,000 Won with a Quick Gain and Loss: Simple and Easy Recipe Revealed.”
In the video, Choi addressed the shifting seasons and the arrival of what she called “diet season,” saying, “The weather is changing, and it’s time to get serious about dieting. I try to keep my meals healthy and manageable all year round, but there comes a point when I can’t avoid it any longer.”
She explained that her focus is on creating a sustainable diet by making small adjustments to her everyday meals, such as cutting back on certain seasonings. Choi said she wanted to share how to eat healthily and feel full on a daily budget of 30,000 won (about $22 USD), and still manage to lose weight.
Choi emphasized the importance of preparation, particularly on weekends when she is busiest. “I prepare food for the whole week in advance. If you want to stay on track with a diet, you need to stay busy,” she said. Her go-to ingredients include steamed vegetables like pumpkin, carrots, cabbage, and broccoli.
She also showed her well-stocked refrigerator, which included sliced carrots, shredded cabbage, washed lettuce, steamed broccoli, bananas, boiled eggs, and black soybean milk.
Her day begins with an olive and lemon-ginger shot. After her workout, she eats a banana, brown rice konjac rice cake, and a glass of black soybean milk for breakfast.
For lunch, she prepares cabbage and seaweed salad, enoki mushroom tofu egg custard, and buckwheat sushi. As a snack, she makes her own gluten-free banana peanut butter brownies.
Dinner consists of a high-protein black soybean milk noodle soup. “Protein is key,” she stressed. “I used to eat a very protein-deficient diet. I love bread too much. But when it comes to dieting, I believe it’s better to focus on protein than just cutting calories.”
Choi Eun-Kyung’s approach highlights that effective dieting doesn’t need to be expensive or overly complicated. With smart planning and nutritious ingredients, she shows it’s possible to eat well and stay healthy on a budget.
