Dr. Darshan Shah, a U.S.-based neurologist and surgeon who specializes in electrodiagnostic medicine, recently shared his thoughts on a woman’s remarkable 47-kilogram weight loss. In an Instagram video posted on May 12, Dr. Shah emphasized the importance of strength training and eating enough protein for anyone trying to lose weight and gain muscle.
The video featured before-and-after clips of a woman who reduced her weight from 120 kg to 78 kg. Dr. Shah used her transformation to encourage others to avoid relying on weight loss drugs. Instead, he advised using natural methods to improve health and fitness.
Dr. Shah recommended lifting weights for just 45 minutes, three times a week, and eating a daily amount of protein equal to your target body weight in grams. He explained that this combination can increase metabolism, help build muscle, and improve overall body composition.
According to Dr. Shah, simple lifestyle changes like regular strength training and better nutrition are effective and sustainable ways to lose weight and stay healthy.
