In preparation for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s two-day visit to Srinagar for International Yoga Day, the Jammu and Kashmir police have designated the city as a ‘temporary red zone’. This designation, which restricts unauthorized use of drones and quadcopters, aligns with the Drone Rules, 2021, requiring special permissions for such activities in red zones.

The declaration of Srinagar as a temporary red zone was reported by ANI, marking heightened security measures for the Prime Minister’s visit. This trip will be Modi’s first to Jammu and Kashmir since commencing his third term in office.
