Bethenny Frankel, 54, made headlines after appearing in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit runway show in Miami Beach, stunning audiences with her toned physique. The former Real Housewives of New York star wore a series of revealing swimsuits, including a polka dot bikini with a thong bottom, leaving viewers impressed and curious about her fitness and beauty regimen.

In an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com, Frankel revealed that she does not follow a strict workout routine. Instead, she said her fitness comes from staying naturally active through daily walking and movement. “I don’t work out. I just stay active in ways that feel natural—walking, moving, living. I don’t force it,” she explained.

Frankel emphasized balance as the core of her approach to health. She described how she self-regulates, sometimes eating clean and being active, and at other times allowing herself to rest and indulge. For ten days leading up to the runway show, she focused on self-care by sleeping more, eating well, staying hydrated, and creating space to feel good. “It wasn’t about getting ready for a moment—it was about being good to myself,” she said.

When it comes to skincare, Frankel believes consistency is key. Her routine includes cleansing, toning, applying vitamin C serum, using rich creams and SPF, and occasionally adding masks and exfoliants. She also avoids heavy makeup and prioritizes letting her skin breathe. “I don’t wear makeup unless I absolutely have to—and if I do, I take it off completely, right away,” she noted.

During the show, Frankel wore multiple outfits, including a denim bikini with a cowboy hat and a leopard-print one-piece. Her confident performance on the runway—complete with dancing and playful poses—caught the attention of social media users, some of whom described her as “unrecognizable” and expressed disbelief at her age.

Reacting to the public response, Frankel said she was surprised by how much attention her appearance received. “Honestly, my body hasn’t changed—people’s perception of it has,” she stated. She added that she had not realized people considered her “so old” until they reacted with shock to her fitness at 54.

Frankel believes the positive response is about more than her physical appearance. “I think what people are really responding to is that I was happy. There are so many beautiful women in the world, but there’s something magnetic about joy. Feeling alive—that’s the real glow-up,” she said.

Frankel has previously shared her views on traditional fitness routines, saying she avoids workout classes because they can become obsessive. On TikTok, she documented her pre-runway diet under a series titled “supermodel snacks.” These included items such as cottage cheese, sliced turkey breast, vegetables, hard boiled eggs, and pickled vegetables. She also showcased healthy desserts, like chocolate-flavored yogurt with tart cherries.

Despite the intense interest in her appearance, Frankel remains focused on balance, self-care, and authenticity. Her message to fans is clear: health and beauty come from joy, not extremes.
