Shanghai is preparing to welcome its first-ever fitness center designed exclusively for dogs. The facility, named Gogogym, has already sparked significant interest among pet owners and gained traction on social media.
Developed by Heal Petcare, a Singapore-based animal healthcare brand, Gogogym offers more than just exercise. The center is designed to support overall pet health and well-being through a range of specialized services. It will feature dog treadmills, a spa and rehabilitation area, a massage room, and a retail section for pet supplies.
According to staff at the facility, the goal is to promote long-term health for pets by encouraging regular exercise, preventing illness, and supporting recovery from injury.
Industry experts say Gogogym reflects the rapid expansion of China’s booming pet economy, which is now worth tens of billions of dollars. The center marks a new step in how the country’s urban pet owners are investing in the health and happiness of their animals.
