At 42, Tamil actor Silambarasan TR, known as Simbu, remains admired not only for his acting but also for his lean and toned physique. After a dramatic weight loss in 2020, he has kept a disciplined and healthy lifestyle.
At a recent public event, Simbu shared his simple approach to staying fit. He said people can eat almost anything at his age but warned against taking fitness for granted. “Fitness takes time, and while there are no immediate problems, don’t spoil yourself or you will face struggles later,” he said, according to the Hindustan Times.
Simbu’s key advice was to eat lighter at night and even “sleep with a slight hunger” to stay healthy. He also warned against going to bed right after a heavy meal. His fitness journey continues to inspire many.
In an interview with the Times of India, Simbu’s trainer, Sandeep Raj, described his routine. Simbu starts his day at 4:30 am with a brisk walk, followed by gym workouts that target different body parts. They began with four workout days per week, now increased to five.
Raj also highlighted Simbu’s diet changes. He shifted to alkaline-rich, nutrient-dense foods, followed a calorie-deficient diet, and even juiced salads he didn’t enjoy. This shows how dedication and flexibility can lead to lasting fitness results.
